Description

Octomore Edition 16.1 is a super-heavily peated Islay single malt Scotch whisky from Bruichladdich Distillery. This five-year-old expression is made from 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto barley, malted to an intense 101.4 PPM.

Matured entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels, it combines intense peat smoke with notes of salted caramel, honeyed melon, apricot, chocolate and coconut, followed by earthy minerality and lingering smoke. Bottled at 59.3% ABV (118.6 proof).
