Description

Octomore Edition 16.2 is a super-heavily peated Islay single malt Scotch whisky from Bruichladdich Distillery. Crafted from 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto barley and peated to 101.4 PPM, it is aged for 5 years and bottled at a powerful 58.1% ABV (116.2 proof).

It is matured in Oloroso and Bordeaux casks, then recasked into Madeira and Portuguese Moscatel casks for its final year. The whisky offers layers of dried fruit, caramelized sugar, roasted nuts, warming spice and sweet peat smoke, with maritime freshness and lingering wood spice on the finish.
